This makes it all the more important that you have the necessary freedom and resources to complete your tasks with creativity and passion. At DLR you will find many different, successful ways of reconciling professional challenges and private interests. Flexitime, part-time, working from home – we will help you achieve your personal ambitions in a healthy manner.
Work-life balance? Outstanding!
At DLR, your career does not end when you start a family: we provide proactive assistance to help you get back to work, offering numerous flexible work-time models to let you easily combine top-level research with family life. In addition to our internal family guidance office, we also cooperate with an external partner, which will provide you with detailed advice and help you organise suitable childcare. If you have dependent relatives under your care, these offices will also support you. Since 2002, we have been a regular recipient of the audit berufundfamilie® certificate for our family-friendly HR policies.
Health management
"Health is not everything, but without health there is nothing!" This motto applies to private as well as professional life. DLR offers a range of options for promoting health. You can play sports with your colleagues in corporate sports teams and take courses about preventive healthcare measures. Our offer ranges from yoga to a course for coping with stressful situations, and seminars on giving up smoking. Furthermore, our Occupational Health Management team organises health campaigns regularly.
With its 'Ausschalten – Abschalten' (Switch off - disengage) campaign addressing 'constant accessibility', DLR Health Management took first place in Germany’s HR Excellence Awards 2018 in the category 'workplace health management (company)' and second place in the German Promotion Award for Workplace Health Management 2018 (Deutscher Förderpreis für Betriebliches Gesundheitsmanagement). The aim of the campaign is to promote the mental health of employees in today's digital world and workplace, as well as 'the healthy use of mobile devices'.
