In the background is the DLR DO 228-212 D-CFFU research aircraft with the side-mounted F-SAR radar system (centre of the image, box-shaped structure). The airborne radar system is operated by the DLR Microwaves and Radar Institute to test new measurement techniques for environmental, transport and security applications.
