Probes for aerosols and cloud particles
Using the probe in the foreground (PCASP-100X, Passive Cavity Aerosol Spectrometer Probe), researchers study the size distribution of aerosols in the atmosphere. It records aerosols ranging from 0.12 to 3.5 micrometres in size. The PIP probe (Precipitation Imaging Probe) in the background is used to image cloud particles between 100 and 6400 micrometres.
