Knowledge exchange and technology transfer

Germany's High-Tech Agenda is built on accelerating knowledge and technology transfer between all innovation stakeholders – a key lever for strengthening Germany's international competitiveness and defence capabilities as a centre of technology and innovation. The German Aerospace Center (Deutsche Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR) develops advanced technologies for concrete applications, cooperating closely with industry and business as well as public stakeholders such as federal ministries, government agencies, the Federal Police, the German armed forces and public-sector companies. Thanks to its large-scale research infrastructures, DLR paves the way for the practical application of its technologies. It also actively supports spin-offs and assists start-ups – from initial ideas to market readiness and financing – through the DLR_Startup Factory programme. DLR's successful and well-established transfer culture makes a vital contribution to sustainably strengthening and promoting both established companies, start-ups and technologies in Germany.
