BRASIL - interactive applications via satellite broadcasting techniques in Latin America



BRASIL is a Specific Support Action where the main objectives are focused on important aspects of interactive applications via satellite broadcasting techniques in Latin America, with specific focus on Brazil. BRASIL has a large focus on bridging the digital divide through and satellites will play a key role in meeting this objective.

Objectives

  • Establish privileged partnerships opening opportunities for the joint development of digital TV broadcasting technologies and associated interactive applications and services.
  • Favour development of DVB technologies and applications that are interoperable with EU deployed solutions and foster social inclusion.
  • Support adoption of European open standards in Latin America
  • Foster scientific cooperation between European and Latin American research institutions in the field of SatCom
