The aim of the proposed project is the further development and targeted optimization of an efficient, low-emission and gas turbine-based cogeneration plant for decentralized energy generation using natural gas.
The proposed project is divided into two phases. As part of the first phase “Component and Plant Development”, various different plant and operating concepts for gas turbine-based cogeneration plants are to be developed, and areas for application will be identified. A further focal point is the development and optimization of an efficient, fuel-flexible and low-pollutant combustion system based on FLOX® technology [1]. Furthermore, potential analyses will be carried out for the increase of the electrical efficiency of micro gas turbines. This phase, characterized by research and development, will be accompanied by our industry partner EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG. In the second phase, “Demonstration”, technology transfer and the implementation of a pilot plant will take place. The planned plant operation will be used for characterization and optimization of the individual components as well as the entire plant.
