The ExperienceAtlas – real-time mapping of travel experience in intermodal transport
The ExperienceAtlas provides a cartographic representation of the travel experience on public transport. The data is collected by voluntary public transport users with a mobile application and statistically aggregated in a database backend. For interactive exploration in a web application, the data is integrated as thematic map layers. A real-time data processing workflow allows for answering of different questions always on the latest available experience reports. Most of the used software components are based on open source. Further, all map data can be accessed through standardised OGC APIs and is thus includable in any custom GIS or business analytics application.
